Almsot all programs which are written for windows vista works perfectly well in windows 7 as well but some older programs may create some issues. If this is the case with you then you can change the compatibility settings for the program either manually or by the help of any third party software which also does the same thing. To run the compatibility troubleshooter, click on "Start" button and then choose "Control Panel". In the search box at Control Panel, type "Troubleshooter" and click on "troubleshooting". Now have a look on "Programs" and then on "Run programs made for previous versions of Windows". Just follow the onscreen instruction and you are done.

Re: Windows vista compatible application creating problem in windows 7

    Hello there !!!

there are no such programs developed that will run on windows vista but wont run on windows 7.
if you are talking about the drivers than it might happen that windows 7 might not be accepting some
of the system drivers. ok ???

actually, windows 7 have many new and latest features as compared to windows vista.
therefore it is not accepting your drivers.
so, what you need to do is to just download all the required drivers.
it will make you upto 178 Mb to 200 Mb of size.
    and nothing more than that.

so, just download it and enjoy.

hope i am clear to you.
    thanks for posting in EALP.

Re: Windows vista compatible application creating problem in windows 7

Backward compatibility enables Windows7 to run windows Vista compatible programs easily.

But if the program was even older and ran on compatibility mode in Windows Vista, then it can be an issue.

You can try to run those problematic applications in Win7 compatibility mode or install windows7 compatible applications both of which are possible.

Cilck Start--Control Panel--in the search box type " troubleshooter" and press enter.

From the Troubleshoo option select Programs, then "RUN PROGRAMS MADE FOR PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF WINDOWS" .
Follow the next directives to enable windows compatibility mode and run Applications hindrence free.
