Windows Vista not showing up any icons on Control Panel

It is possible to bring up ‘Control Panel’ window on my PC running on Windows Vista. But, I can’t find any icons on that window even after restarting the system. How can I restore the icons?

Once you can view the desktop of your system, drag the mouse cursor to the bottom left part and click the ‘Start’ button. This will bring up a start menu with search field at the bottom part. Type services into that field and hit the ‘Enter’ key. The ‘Services’ window will pop up on the screen afterwards with a list of services. Find out ‘Software Licensing’ service and check its status. If the status is ‘Started’ then right click on it and set the ‘Startup Type’ to ‘Automatic’. Otherwise, select the service and click the ‘Start’ link in the left column.

    Hello my dear Aspirant ------

First and Fore most Thing you will need to do is " System File checker "

<> For this You have to Choose to select on the " start " menu and There you can Go click on the " All programs " option

<> Then Go to " Accessories " and Click on the " Command prompt "

<> There you have to type " sfc/scannow " and Press "Enter "

Thus you will do the System file checker

See the problem and if the Problem remains there then You can try to search the Services option

There you can convert the Services in to " Automatic "

Thus you can avoid the problem

    That is all

    Good luck

Re: Windows Vista not showing up any icons on Control Panel

When Control Panel misses all its contents, the first thing you need to do is this,

Start regedit, a registry edit utility,

Click Start, click All programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, select Run,

    Type Regedit and press Enter,

Look into HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\don't load, if something like this is found as entry.

    Delete the dword value .

    Save and exit.

Reboot and check the condition. If it fails to bring back the Icons in Control Panel, ReInstall Windows Vista once again.
