Windows Vista recognizing response from ‘Control’ key without making the press

My PC got upgraded to Windows Vista few weeks ago. Now I have an issue. Though I didn’t press the ‘Control’ key, it seems like the key is pressed automatically without any prompt. In what way can I avoid such a behavior?

You may have enabled ‘Stick Keys’ on your system. Disable it and see whether the issue gets resolved or not. Click the ‘Start’ button to bring up the start menu on the screen. Hit the ‘Control Panel’ option available in that menu and find out ‘Ease of Access’ option. Double click on that option and navigate into ‘Make your computer easier to use’ section. Make a single click on ‘Make the keyboard easier to use’ option under that section. Then, clear off the check box next to ‘Turn on sticky keys’ label under ‘Make it easier to type’ option. After that, press the ‘Apply’ and ‘Save’ buttons one after the other.

    • Then choose the option Control panel
    • Now choose the option Ease of Access
    • Then locate the option Make your computer easier double click on it
    • Now choose the option Make the Keyboard easier to use
    • Then locate the option Make it easier
    • Then uncheck the check box next to Turn on Sticky keys
