Windows Vista shows ‘Intel RST Service not running’ icon on lower tray

When I was using my PC running on Windows Vista, I found an icon labeled “Intel RST Service not running” on the lower tray. I have no idea about how this icon comes up on my system. How can I get rid of it?

First of all, right click on the taskbar and just keep waiting until a menu pop up on the screen. Navigate through that menu and locate the ‘Start Task Manager’ option. Click on that option afterwards so that the ‘Task Manager’ window will pop up on the screen. Go to the top part of that window and press the ‘Services’ tab. This will bring up a list of services on that window. Find out ‘Intel Rapid Storage Technology Service’ from that list and right click on it. Scroll through the available menu and click the ‘Start Service’ option. This will start up the ‘Intel Rapid Storage Technology Service’ and erase the icon from lower tray.
