I used to scan files on my Toshiba notebook earlier but as of now Windows vista on my gadget is not recognizing it. What needs to be done to find a solution for the same?

Re: Windows vista on Toshiba notebook not recognizing the scanner

    Hi,

The reason behind watever you are experiencing now is a damaged, lost or corrupt Driver Software which helps Windows to understand and recognize the device and vice versa.

take the folling steps to install afresh Scanner in Windows:

"Start" > "Control Panel" "Hardware and Sound" > "Scanners and Cameras" > "Add Device" > "Next",

Select manufacturer and model and click Next (If you have the installation disk for your scanner provided by the manufacturer ,click "Have Disk" to bypass selecting the device from the list).

Assign a "name" for your scanner ,

Also you can use the Windows Device Driver for scanner by going to Control panel>Hardware and Sound>Scanner and... > Update Driver.

    Next, Finish. Reboot.
