Windows XP not recognizing the connected Logitech Webcam.

I have bought a new Logitech Webcam and also installed the appropriate drivers on my Windows XP system, though the drivers installed successfully and also got the Finish button at the end, the machine won't recognise the connected webcam. What else I have to do in order to make this webcam work on my machine?

    Hi dear friend...........

To resolve the issues about the webcam follow the below instructions

First of all check whether the webcam working or not

and also check whether the connected port working properly or not

after checking all these....... press windows key+R

then type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER key

now right click on the webcam device from the list and choose UPDATE DRIVER SOFTWARE option

then click on SEARCH AUTOMATICALLY FOR UPDATED DRIVER SOFTWARE option ..........and follow the instructions

and if still the problem persists........simply uninstall the DRIVERS ....and Download the Latest Drivers from the LOGITECH official website ....

then install them...... after that your problem will be resolved

    ALL THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have installed required drivers in Windows XP but the webcan gails to respond.

How did you connect the webcam ?

Possibly via a USB port , is it ?

If it is , then you will possibly feel better if you install latest working driver for the USB in your system.

From control panel, devices , click on USB Controller device, click Driver, click Uninstall.
Click Update Driver and follow the prompt, the software will guide you to install latest windows XP compatible device driver from Microsoft Website.

Finish tye job and if needed reinstall afterwards the software from tue CD and use the webcam.

first of all check that the port through which it is connected is working properly or not

try to use the other ports

make sure that the web cam is working properly

otherwise replace it with a working one

or might be the driver issue

so go to the control panel

    then open the device manager

then click on the web cam and then update the driver

    now it will surely work

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say................

1.Firstly check the power connection of your webcam.

2.Then you check that you have installed the webcam drivers in your system.

3.If you have not installed those drivers install them.

4.Still if you have the problem uninstall them and then install them again.

5.If you have installed them still if you have any problem try to update them.

    Have a nice day................
