Windows XP Professional displays error code 0x80244019 while installing update through Windows Update

I have installed Windows XP Professional into my PC few days ago. When I try to install any updates into my system via Windows Update, I keep getting the error message saying “Error: 0x80244019 the website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to view”. Is there any way to avoid this error message?

Double click the icon for Internet Explorer on your desktop. This will open up the browser from which click the ‘Tools’ option. The next step required is to make a single click on ‘Internet Options’ option. Press the ‘Connection’ tab visible on the screen after that. You can then find ‘LAN settings’ button on the current window. Click on that button and locate ‘Automatic detect settings’ label. Select the checkbox reside next to this label and press the ‘OK’ button.

    Dear friend,

You are getting this error due to one the following reasons:

    1. The Microsoft doesn’t support Windows XP Service Pack 2. So if you are using a service pack 2,
then you should upgrade your system to Service Pack 3 to get the latest updates.

    2. You are working on a slow network connection. In this case, either you do this task on non-peak
hours such as in early morning or optimise your network connection for better performance.
You can use Tuneup utilities software to optimise the network connection.

    3. You can use System Update Readiness Tool-a tool provided by Microsoft for Windows update problems.
You can download it from Microsoft official website.

    Thanks!
