Windows XP showing graphics problem since installing Windows Update

I have installed a Windows Update on my PC running on Windows XP during power down mode. Since then, I can view vertical lines with different colors on the monitor. What steps should I take to fix this issue?

The update somehow tangled with your display driver and creating problems in its functioning,

It has possibly damaged the display driver already.

The simplest way to solve the problem is to uninstall and reinstall the display driver.

To do so, go to :

START--CONTROL PANEL--SYSTEM AND SECURITY--DEVICE MANAGER--DISPLAY ADAPTER--DRIVER--UNINSTALL, and the damaged driver will be removed from the windows.
then from the same menu select UPDATE DRIVER to install latest driver from microsoft.

    Try that.

    Hi,

This was the problem with your corrupted Graphic files.

1.You can do only one thing that is insert the motherboard in your CD drive.

2.After your computer will detect it your restart your computer.

3.Now you press any key there you can move to the installation wizard.

4.Now you click on 'R' to repair your graphic drivers.

    All the best.....

    Hello friend,

I have the solution for your problem just do as i say..........

1.While you are updating other software some files of this may be got deleted.

2.So you are facing this problem.

3.It's better to insert the mother board CD if you have it with you.

4.Then you repair your graphic files using that CD.

5.If you do not have the CD you have format your system and then you have to install the Graphic drivers.

    Have a nice day................
