Windows XP shows ‘Search Enhancement Pack’ folder during start up

I have recently installed Word 2002 into my PC running on Windows XP. Since then, I can view C:\Program Files/Microsoft/Search Enhancement Pack folder while starting up my PC. Is there any way to prevent this?

Re: Windows XP shows ‘Search Enhancement Pack’ folder during start up

At first, open any window on your system and type C:/Program Files/Microsoft/Search Enhancement Pack into the address bar. After that, press the ‘Enter’ key so that you can get into the Search Enhancement Pack folder. Search for ‘Seaport.exe’ file after that and click on it. Then, rename that file into ‘Seaport old.exe’. You need to delete all the other files inside the folder. Click on the ‘Start’ button afterwards and highlight ‘Settings’ in start menu to click the ‘Control Panel’. Choose ‘Add or Remove Programs’ icon in the Control Panel window and press the ‘Remove’ button next to Windows Live Messenger program. After that, restart your PC and see whether you can see ‘Search Enhancement Pack’ folder. If not, install the Windows Live Messenger program again.
