Windows XP System shuts down suddenly when playing a video

When I play the video in any player, Windows XP System shuts down suddenly. When I do not play any video, then the System does not shut down. Playing the video caused this problem in every player. What might be the problem? Please, help me!

Yes it might be the problem of your Windows OS and the missing of video files in your system configuration.
So when ever you want to go with the Video player VLC is the best one to choose and play it in your system.
So install it in your windows XP system and then you will not see the shut down of your system.
If it does not work then go for the other option to uninstall the OS and re install in the System it makes your OS perfect and working.

don't worry my dear friend, your system lost video supporting files as well as drivers completely...

to solve this problem first uninstall the video drivers and restart your system.
No try to play the video, it may play but with low quality... Now install the drivers when you get a notification at the task bar like "found new hardware".

when see such notification, click on it and try to download those drivers from internet...
once all the drivers are installed completely its time to restart your system..

Now play the video in standard players like windows media player and VLC..

    happy to help you

The issue is not with your video player but in Windows XP.

Though a complete repair is not necessary, but it can help .

At the least, go for a display driver change.

Uninstall the driver for display in your windows XP, through Control Panel--drivers,

Leaving here would let windows XP place another similar driver installed automatically.

If you want the latest driver, log into www.microsoft.com, find display driver for Windows XP, download, install.

You can now uninstall and reinstall the favorite video player too for a better experience.
