Writing files to CD using explorer changes date and time of files in windows xp

I am a windows xp user. When i am writing files to CD using windows explorer, the original date and time of files are replaced with current date and time. I want to prevent this change so that i can retain the original value. Is it possible in windows xp? How can i do this?

When you copy any file to CD, a new file is created which takes the current date and time instead of original creation date of file. Unfortunately it is not possible to change in windows xp without using any third party tool. If you don't have problem with third party tool then you can use Nero Burning ROM which provides you an option to retain the original date and time, to set the current values or to set any custom values according to your need. Lets give it a try.If you are facing any issue then feel free to post your query here.
