BSOD, Restart loop in windows xp system when tried to install windows updates

HI there, i have windows xp sp2 system running on HCL system. My actual issue is, after receiving the message from action center, i tried to update my system from windows update window, but while trying so, my windows keeps on restarting, BSODís like a cycle loop. It is just continuing to restart and show BSOD and restart for many times. I can only access my computer through safe mode. Any help on this issue??

1)Oh, you can access safe mode, that means your issue could be resolved by restoring your computer by choosing restore point
2)Reboot your system → Keep on tapping f8 for repair options
3)From those options select system restore → Select restore point from the system restore
4)After selecting the restore point press on restore button
5)Then system will start doing system restore process and restores your computer to normal windows
6)Restart your computer after completing the restore process
    That’s it over!
