Dell laptop having windows 7 heats up too quickly

I have a dell inspiron laptop which came with windows 7 and one year damage warranty. Now the warranty period has finished and now the laptop is heating too much. It is not clear that whether the problem is related to hardware or software as some of experts are suggesting me to check the software issues first before going for hardware issues. Have you encountered any such issue? Please share your views and thus help me in fixing my problem.

    Hi,

You should take little care while using the computer.

The SMPS fan inside the laptop may have damaged itself and the heat generated cant be vented that may be why it is getting heated.

If the fan is okay, then you should buy a laptop rest which does have a fan built in to produce cool air which will be thrusted to the laptop base keeping it cool.

Use the laptop in a free airy environment for the laptop to be cool.

But check the internal fan before everything.

    Thank you.

    Friend,
One of the most common issues with aging laptops is overheating.
Make sure that the air exhausts are clean.
Its better if you you buy a pad cooler for your laptop.
This will help you a lot.

    Friend,
If your computerís heat is related to how much data the CPU chugs through, you might want to manage your processes better. You can use the Windows Task Manager to see whatís most intensive, then use Autoruns to see all your startup processes and trim them down. You can also change the order of the startup processes that are necessary. The staggered loading of software will help balance your processorís load.

    Hello friendsÖ,

Also, raise your laptop up a bit, particularly by the air vents.

That helps tremendously in keeping it cooler.

I frequently use my laptop right on my lap, and I try never to block the vents in fact I always try to sit in such a way
    ,
that there is nothing preventing the air from being blocked. When the fan goes on,

I know that I have to shift position cause I'm obviously hampering air movement.

And the result is, within a moment or two, the fan goes off, so this must be working. . .

Here's how to keep your temps down:

One use the Power Saver power plan. Since you are not a gamer, then this is a very practical approach.

I'm not a gamer and I always use the Power Saver setting.

Now another ways way to keep the temps down is turn the display brightness down to the lowest acceptable level.

Both of these things will also increase your battery operation time.

WIN + X key combo will give you a chance to change the power setting and the display setting...........

    hope it helps...
