    Hello my friend,

Your problem is not very clear to me.You could have described it in more detail so that i could give you solution.
You clear the download list by using clear list option which is available at the bottom of the download manager.
and disk clean up utility only cleans the the cache, and unwanted back ups.

who told you that disk clean up utility programs clears the downloaded programs.

    ALL THE BEST.

    HELLO GUEST

Disk clean Up is a very easy process.
I personally recommend you to use Disk Cleanup quarterly or every other month.

    1. Close all programs.
    2. Choose Start menu | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk Cleanup.
    3. In the Files to delete list, check or clear files as desired.
    4. Click OK to delete the files.
    5. Click Yes to confirm you want to perform the cleanup actions. Wait for the files to be deleted.
    6. Choose Start menu | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk Cleanup.
    7. Click the More Options tab.
    8. Under System Restore, click the Clean up button.
    9. When asked "Are you sure you want to delete all but the most recent restore point?", click Yes.
    10. Click OK. Click Yes.
    11. The window will close when done.

Well I think that's enough to make you clear that how to do a disk clean Up.
    Hope i help you.

Re: Disk Cleanup not showing button for clearing downloaded program files

    Hi,
Just dont be confused and clean your disk according to your choice.

You can use the disk cleanup option from the Accessories menu provided by the windows or you may opt to use a third party solution for which you can download a software from the internet a lot of which are free to use but provide numerous options to do the job and provides fantastic solution.

Windows disk cleanup will offer you the choice of selecting which files (Downloaded, catch, temporary etc.) you want to delete from the disk and in the given check box alongside you have to tick or uncheck to delete or let it remain in the drive. So use Accessories/system tools/disk cleanup option for your satisfaction.

    Thank you.
