Mouse getting stuck in Windows XP

I have been using Windows XP in my home PC. Yesterday, I got an update from Windows. After this update the mouse became inactive. I cannot move the cursor. What should be done to solve this issue?

    Friend,
If you have to change a PS/2 connection, shut off the computer, make the changes, and then restart the computer.
Do not plug a PS/2 device into the PS/2 port while the computer is running.
If your devices are connected to PS/2 ports on the computer, verify that you have the following configurations:
    • Verify that the USB plug for your mouse is connected to the green USB-to-PS/2 adapter and that this adapter is plugged in the mouse PS/2 port on the computer. The mouse PS/2 port on the computer may also be green. If you are not sure which PS/2 port is the mouse PS/2 port, see the documentation that was included with the computer.
    • Verify that the USB plug for the keyboard is connected to the purple USB-to-PS/2 adapter and that this adapter is plugged in the keyboard PS/2 port on the computer. The keyboard PS/2 port on the computer may also be purple. If you are not sure which PS/2 port is the keyboard PS/2 port, see the documentation that was included with the computer.
If you have to change your configuration, shut down the computer, make the changes, and then restart the computer. If your mouse or keyboard has both USB and PS/2 connections, try using the other connection.

Re: Mouse getting stuck in Windows XP

    Hi,
The update you have downloaded and installed later is the culprit.

It is either Corrupt and unable to do its duty and made a lot of other programs invalid too.

But more than that it seems the update was infected with Virus that disabled the drivers those control hardware, and your mouse is disabled.

Uninstall the update, scan and clean the system exhaustively, download the update from Microsoft WebSite and install.

    your problem will be solved.

    Hello friend ,

The issue may be due to the update you have received, maybe that program is corrupted or may be malfunctioning ,

So please ensure any update or software to be genuine befpre installing on your system , try to uninstall your update,
and scan your system completely, and chexk for the proper connections of your device cables,
if the issue persists try to check the device drivers ....

If you should change a PS/2 interconnection, stop running your computer, make the adjustments, and then restart this computer.
Will not select a PS/2 gadget on the PS/2 dock while the laptop or computer will be running.

When your tools are linked with PS/2 slots on my computer, validate that will there is a pursuing options:
Authenticate that this USB select to your computer mouse button will be linked to the natural USB-to-PS/2 adaptor and that the following adaptor will be connected a button PS/2 dock for the computer. A button PS/2 dock on my computer may also be green. If you are not confident which often PS/2 dock will be a button PS/2 dock, view the documents that's added to this computer.

Authenticate that this USB select for laptop keyboards will be linked to the purple USB-to-PS/2 adaptor and that the following adaptor will be connected laptop keyboards PS/2 dock for the computer. The laptop keyboard PS/2 dock on my computer may also be purple. If you are not confident which often PS/2 dock will be laptop keyboards PS/2 dock, view the documents that's added to this computer.
If you should alter your construction, turn off your computer, make the adjustments, and then restart this computer. When your computer mouse button or even pc style keyboard possesses each USB as well as PS/2 contacts, try using additional connection.

    Hello,

Well, after updating your Windows XP you are no longer able to use our pld mouse. The reason is your mouse driver is old so either you have to update your mouse driver from the internet or have to use a new USB mouse. This is a very common problem with software updates and it is not a big issue. Nest time onwards, you should know the reason behind your mouse problem.

    Bye,
