Re: Cannot come out of Safe mode while starting up PC running on Windows XP

    Hi,

To exit permanently from SAFE MODE booting, do the following:

    START > ALL PROGRAMS >ACCESSORIES > RUN > msconfig, press ENTER > BOOT.INI > deselect /safeboot, exit.

    Reboot.

Another possibility is that due to defective or damaged Driver files bootmanager can`t load them while booting normally, so update all drivers to give Windows a chance to boot normally.

    Thanks.

Safe mode is a diagnostic mode of a computer operating system (OS). It can also refer to a mode of operation by application software. Safe mode is intended to fix most, if not all problems within an operating system. It is also widely used for removing rogue security software.

    Try the steps below.

The following can make your computer non bootable. Please make sure you have a backup before performing steps.

    Click Start

    Navigate to Run

    Type "msconfig"Press Enter.

In this Window select the Boot.ini tab.

    In this window uncheck "/SafeBoot"

    Hope this helps!

First of all, create a backup for all important files in your PC. Then, go to the bottom part of the screen and click the ‘Start’ button. When you can view the start menu, click the ‘Run’ option from it. The ‘Run’ dialog box will be displayed on the screen afterwards. You need to type msconfig into the ‘Open’ field available in that box. After that, press the ‘Enter’ key and wait for the Configuration Utility window. Press the ‘Boot.ini’ tab visible in that window. You can then find another window from which locate the ‘/SafeBoot’ item. Finally, uncheck the checkbox reside next to this item by clicking on it.
